Sony has launched another phone in the Xperia lineage, Sony Xperia Neo L. This phone has been released as the successor of Xperia Neo V which is already present in the Indian markets. This phone has upgraded features and better looks when compared to Xperia Neo V.

The front of the phone has strikingly similar looks to Neo V, it will be hard for anyone to distinguish between the two when they look from the front. The shape of the phone’s back has been changed a bit, which is curved in this model. This phone looks even more stylish than other phones of Xperia series. Going by the price, Neo L is priced about 2000 INR higher than Xperia Neo V basically owing to the upgrade in the operating system and display.

Xperia Neo L launch

Sony Xperia Neo L comes equipped with Android version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich while Neo V worked on Android 2.3 gingerbread. The new phone has a 4.0 inch display against the 3.7 inch of Xperia Neo V. Plus, there is also a slight upgrade in the resolution of the display as this model has a scratch resistant screen with a resolution of 854×480 pixels while the display of Xperia Neo V gives a resolution of 850×480. The phone comes with a 5 MP camera that has autofocus and LED flash which lets you record 720p videos at 30 frames per second. The phone is loaded with amazing features and 18,500 INR is a very affordable price for all these features. In addition to this, Sony also gives Xperia buyers the privilege of 50 GB of box cloud storage free for two years. The company is even planning to relinquish the 2 years time frame and extend the privilege to lifetime.

Besides the Xperia Neo V successor, Sony is also planning to launch  Xperia Ion which is priced slightly higher than Neo L. Xperia Go is already available for pre-orders at websites like flipkart and Home shop 18 at a price of 18,999. This phone is incredibly thin and light weight. It has a thickness of only 9.8 mm and weighs just 110 grams. Plus, this phone is extremely durable and also features a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus. The screen size is kept at 3.5 inch and boasts an 8 GB internal memory. This phone sports a 1 GHz dual core processor against the single core processors embedded in most of the phones of Xperia range. So basically we have a super-thin phone with 5 MP camera, dual core and 8 GB internal memory that’s priced at 18,999.

The other phone which is slated for release in August is the Xperia Ion. This phone would be placed in the range of high-end models. You get a 1.5 GHz snapdragon processor, 12 megapixel camera and 4.55 inch screen in this phone. As sources suggest, this phone will have a price tag that will go beyond 30,000 INR.

Summing up, Sony has hit the mid-price range gizmo market with two brand new models- Xperia Neo L and Xperia Go.
